Summary: The execution of this project is done in recognition of the significance for an appropriate experiment design to be devised, in order to discuss and analyze the effect of various excitation signals on the quality of the identified models. To perform system identification, different characteristics of excitation signals, specifically pseudo-random-binary-sequence (PRBS) signals, varying in terms of bands and levels are used as the signal source to excite the tested models. Through the excitation given to different types of transfer function models of 1st, 3rd and 5th orders with or without zeroes and delay, more information regarding the model parameters were able to be extracted to aid in system identification.
