However, the disintegration of multi- participants in construction particularly in the design process is the main barrier to limit the energy efficient building. Hence, whole system design is one such approach that aims to integrate social, economic and environmental phenomena into a comprehensive design solution. This approach encourages the development of partnerships between all project stakeholders from a variety of different backgrounds, disciplines and sectors to develop an energy efficient building at a whole system level.
