API-RP-2SIM (API, 2014) and ISO-19902 (ISO/CD, 2001) recommended simplified silhouette model approach, where wave-in-deck forces are calculated based on the overestimated topside area projected to wave-in-deck. The current engineering knowledge required to accurately predict the magnitude of wave-in-deck loads and its effect to global response of jacket platforms.
